Facilities Working Group

  

Overview:

The Facilities Working Group is responsible for identifying and equipping sites for the International Virtual Data Grid Laboratory 
  • Facilities will identify testbed sites from those listed in the proposal, additional sites from the core experiments, related experiments, and potentially other scientific disciplines. 
  • Facilities will arrange hardware acquisitions for the Tier2 and Tier3 sites. 
  • And facilities will identify compatible hardware configurations.
The Facilities Working Group is made up of at least one contact person from each of the participating sites. The mailing list is facilities@ivdgl.org. Subscribe by sending a mail to majordomo@ivdgl.org with the body subscribe facilities. The two coordinators of the Facilities Working Group are Bruce Allen and Ian Fisk Ian Fisk

Meetings:
Facilities Working Group meetings are generally held on alternate Friday's at 9AM PST using VRVS video conferencing and DCS audio. The virtual room and DCS contact information are published each week with the meeting agenda.
